Definition (verb) : a way of living that seeks to be for the benefit and flourishing of all people and all persons in a society.

We believe being for the common good can and should be a way of life. In fact, we imagine and dream of a world in which every human being lives in such a way that recognizes and honors their own God-given dignity, value and worth AND recognizes and honors the God-given dignity, value and worth in others. When being for the common good becomes a way of life — a lifestyle — we are invited to re-examine not only our beliefs, intentions and attitudes, but also our behaviors, practices and choices.

Common Good Lifestyle is a Seattle-based non-profit reimagining how fashion and consumerism can be done for the common good. Our mission is to create a sustainable ecosystem that offers consumable goods and lifestyle products in which every aspect of the process from design to production to consumption is done with the common good in mind.

STAGE 1: DESIGN — FOR GOOD

Common Good Lifestyle is committed to thinking about the design stage through the lens of artistic partnership and collaboration, with the goal of platforming and amplifying diverse voices and perspectives, especially those of non-dominant culture that have often been historically silenced. As such, Common Good Lifestyle has no in-house resident designers or creative directors and instead, every single product, accessory and clothing item we bring to market is created through collaboration with local and emerging BIPOC artist and designers.

STAGE 2: PRODUCTION — FOR GOOD

We are committed to ethical, sustainable, eco-friendly fashion from start to finish that honors the earth and every person involved in the production process. All products are created by ensuring that all of our partners throughout the production process are committed to these same values.

STAGE 3: CONSUMPTION — FOR GOOD

While our capitalistic society is driven by demand and consumerism, we believe it is possible to consume intentionally and responsibly by choosing who and where we purchase. Common Good Lifestyle is committed to giving away 100% of proceeds of every collection to a reputable non-profit charity selected by our featured designer. In other words, every dollar that you spend on Common Good Lifestyle not only makes you look good and feel good, but ultimately does good.
